Founded by Kelsey Egan Mutscheller, Studio KEM is rooted in a passion for crafting interiors that balance warmth, personality and function.

Kelsey holds a Master’s in Interior Design & Architecture from the New York School of Interior Design and brings over a decade of experience designing for high-profile clients in residential, commercial, and hospitality settings. Before founding Studio KEM, she honed her craft at the acclaimed AD100 firm Charles & Co as well as the Elle Decor A-List firm Alfredo Paredes Studio.

Her portfolio includes residential projects at Windsor in Vero Beach, FL, Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, MT, East Hampton, NY, Westport, CT, and Los Angeles, CA among others. She also has experience in restaurants and hospitality projects in New York City and Europe. Each project demonstrates her ability to blend architectural detail with thoughtful interior design, creating timeless spaces tailored to the people who live and spend time in them.

Known for her collaborative approach and expertise in new builds and gut renovations, Kelsey works closely with architects, builders, and artisans from concept through completion. She is hands-on in every phase, drawing interior sets & furniture plans, curating custom furnishings, managing procurement, and ensuring every detail through installation is executed seamlessly.

Studio KEM reflects Kelsey’s belief that interiors should not only be beautiful but also deeply personal. Her work is defined by an eye for proportion, layered textures, and curated finishes that result in spaces that feel both refined and inviting.
