Studio KEM is a New York City-based, full-service interior design studio specializing in renovations, new construction and comprehensive furnishing projects.
Studio KEM is a full-service interior design studio founded by Kelsey Egan Mutscheller, creating interiors that balance warmth, personality and function.
With more than a decade of experience in residential and hospitality design, Kelsey brings an architectural eye and a deeply considered approach to each project. She holds a Master’s in Interior Design & Architecture from the New York School of Interior Design and developed her expertise at AD100 firm Charles & Co. and ELLE DECOR A-List firm Alfredo Paredes Studio before founding Studio KEM.
Her experience spans residences from East Hampton and Westport to Vero Beach, Big Sky and Los Angeles, as well as hospitality projects in New York and Europe.
Today, Studio KEM specializes in renovations, new construction and furnishing projects where we can consider the home as a whole—its architecture, interiors and the way our clients want to live within it.

Construction Documentation
Creating the technical drawings, schedules and specifications needed to clearly communicate the design to the project team.
Purchasing the items we specify and managing orders through delivery, including vendor communication, order tracking, freight and receiving, white-glove delivery and the replacement of damaged items.
Procurement & Logistics
Collaborating and coordinating with architects, builders and trades throughout construction to clarify design details and work through challenges as they arise.
Construction Administration
Determining how each space should look, feel and function, we develop space plans, material palettes and supporting visuals to communicate the design. We specify everything from furniture, textiles, wallcoverings and window treatments to millwork, plumbing, lighting and floorcoverings.
